Casting Diaries: Call Backs

Was it hot last night or is it just me? The whole GFW crew packed into Jolie Events/The Zuzu Restaurant Wednesday night for our Model Callbacks, and let me tell you, the heat was ON. About 100 beautiful models came back Wednesday night to give us their best strut and pose on the runway.

The night started with round one: casual wear. Each model took their turn on the catwalk, trying their hardest to impress our judges with their sexiest poses and fiercest faces. Me-OW! After the models warmed up with round one, it was time to get serious with the second round. Bring on the bikinis and beach bods. Round two brought the heat as the models took a second walk down the runway in their sexiest and teeniest bikinis and swim trunks.

We would like to thank our local celebrity judges from the UF football and basketball teams, Trey Burton, Clay Burton, Patric Young and Will Yeguete! I hope the judging wasn’t too hard, boys! More thanks to our other judges Maghan McDowell from INsite Magazine, Devon Chestnut from Cox Communications and Jacquelyn Brooks from Jacquelyn Brooks Designs!

Gainesville Fashion Week 2012 is definitely in full swing and before you know it, it’ll be April 11^th. The fashion team at GFW could not be more excited for the 2012 season and we would like to thank each and every model, judge and team member who came out last night to help!
