GFW Spots Trends: "Arm Parties!"

After catching a fellow fashion intern rocking an arm party fit for Kate Spade herself, I started noticing not just arm parties, but finger parties and neck parties.

It seemed like everyone at the GFW Model Casting Call this past Sunday was piling wrap bracelets on top of their over-sized watches. We definitely took notice to the trend, and we liked it so much that had to share it to our blog followers.

Check out our Social Media Intern, Lauren Gonzalez, and her colorful arm party! She boldly mixed a handmade chevron friendship bracelet with a super chunky Michael Kors tortoise watch and several girly Kate Spade bangles. You make us proud, Lauren!

In an effort to find the coolest, chicest, and most unique arm party companions, I find myself obsessively stalking the fashion pages on Pinterest almost daily. I love stumbling upon posts that go into great detail on how to make your own wild bracelets.

I love these colorful DIY wrap bracelets; they’re a sure way to spice up your day. My favorites are the elementary school-style chevron string friendship bracelets. With the tribal trend also making a comeback this spring, these bracelets really give every outfit a not-so-subtle punch of funk.

As if Pinterest isn’t already filling my dreams with rhinestones and tribal chevrons, Florida-based jewelry designers Danielle and Jodie Snyder, with their daring jewelry line, Dannijo, have been mastering the art of the arm party for quite some time now. Click here to check ‘em out!

With Gainesville Fashion Week’s Model Casting Calls coming to an end, we are getting more and more excited for April’s events! Look out for model call backs next Wednesday, February 1st!
